Topics like body image, being unique, media, health and making our own choices can be hard for tweens – especially when fitting in and being cool is so important to them! Day Camps combine physical activity and mentorship to build confidence. Girls will learn tools to overcome bullying and mean girls, and how to be an empowered friend. Our Day Camps encourage girls to discover what they love about themselves and celebrate it. Be active, come meet new friends, release your inner awesome and have fun at camp with us this summer.
Our programs are designed to help girls release their inner awesome and feel confident in who they are. Activities help girls recognize their uniqueness, special strengths and what they love about themselves.
What is leadership and what values make us leaders? Values are action-guides and help us make decisions as to what to do and what not to do. It can be very hard to make safe choices through demands, expectations and desires. Girls identify and clarify their leadership value and worth.
At Sole Girls, we get active by participating in empowering activities that make physical activity fun and inclusive. During the Camp, girls participate in scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, yoga and running games that get them having fun and loving physical activity.
During the Camp, girls learn the importance of friendships, anti-bullying and relationships. We provide girls the tools to express themselves with confidence and from a place of love and inclusion instead of competition.
Girls gain an understanding that food is fuel. We discuss the importance of healthy choices, and how it affects our brain. Girls learn about their own choices and the food they enjoy. Also, girls learn about thoughts, feelings and actions and tools for managing anxiety and stress.
Mentorship is an effective way to help tweens realize their potential and emerge as empowered role models and future community leaders. Our MentHERs are carefully chosen for their ability to connect and their commitment to empowering young girls in their community.
I can achieve more than I thought!
