Sole Girls Activator / North Vancouver, BC
To me, the opportunity to be an activator means that I get to be involved in an organization that I care deeply about during a time where I am unable to commit to soleteering or coaching on a regular weekly basis. It means rocking my Sole Girls t-shirt at runs and being able to answer questions from other runners about what Sole Girls means. To be an activator means I am ready to jump in at events to support girls and other leaders.
The SOLE values are important to me because this is not only how I want to make others feel, but it is how being involved in Sole Girls makes me feel – supported. I want to continue instilling these values, whether that means at runs with Sole Girls, speaking about the program to others, or supporting soleteers and coaches.
My goals include completing a creative writing course, training for my first triathlon (after injury sidelined me last year), and running my fourth half marathon.
