We are so thankful for this hot weather in Vancouver!!! We love running and playing the games outside and getting a healthy dose of vitamin D!
Remember when the weather gets hot, your body is going to react in two ways, your skin becomes more sensitive and you will dehydrate faster!
What can I do to make sure I'm staying healthy in the sunshine?
1. Wear sunscreen. When you get a sunburn it's actually an inflammation of your skin! Find a sunscreen that works best for you. I like the Banana Boat Sport because it is waterproof and sweatproof, so running in the sun it will not wipe off or drip into my eyes!
2. Drink Water. Your body is made up of 60% water and when it is hot you need to replenish it with some quality H2O. Water is the most natural way to stay hydrated because it doesn't have any added sugar! So drink up, especially if you are sweating it out doing your favourite sport!
