8 Things to do this Winter Break with Tweens

​The holiday season is here and that means time off school and work to spend with friends and family. Don’t get bored this holiday season! Start infusing some holiday spirit into your time off, and get ready for the most fun-filled winter break ever! Here are 8 fun things to do this December with tweens.

 

1. ​Get cozy and watch a Christmas movie

Elf, The Grinch, The Santa Claus, Home Alone…add one of these Holiday movies to your Netflix favourites this December! To get extra cozy, pair the movie with a hot cocoa and super soft blankets and winter socks.

 


​2. ​Bake some delicious treats

Spend an afternoon baking some holiday themed delicious treats! Our favourite holiday treats are Christmas cookies. To get extra festive, package your cookies in a cute wrapping and give them out to your family and friends to enjoy. Check out this cute way to wrap cookies!

 

​3. ​DIY gift for your friend

It feels so good to feel appreciated! At Sole Girls we love showing our friends how much they mean to us. Here are easy gifts you can make for your friends over winter break and they are sure to bring a smile to their face.

​5. ​Have a Holiday Dance Party to keep warm!

Stay warm during winter break by playing your favourite tunes! We LOVE dance parties. Dance Parties are an awesome way to shake it out while being active.

 

​6. ​Make a Christmas themed smoothie

Create a yummy red and green themed smoothie! Smoothies are a tasty way to eat go sugars and there are so many options. Be creative with your smoothie go sugars!

Red Go Sugars: strawberries, raspberries, cranberries, grapes, red apples

 

​7. ​Home winter spa day

Spend some time relaxing with your tween this winter break and create a at home spa! Make an all natural peppermint sugar scrub or paint your nails fun and festive colours.

 

​8. Think about and journal what this holiday means to you

Fun with family and friends, sipping holiday drinks, christmas music, giving gifts to the ones you love, feeling cheery and festive…what does this holiday mean to you? Write it down in your journal!
